For me, it was an old, rusty key found in the castle park of Torup outside Malmö when I was 11 years old. The rest is history…
Today, I am active as a certified tour guide, tour operator and lecturer in the region of Öresund.
My collaboration with Visit Sweden, Visit Denmark, Tourism in Skåne and local tourist boards has given me plenty of opportunities to market this fantastic region towards journalists and travel agents. I am proud to be a part of the mission to give Sweden, Skåne and the Öresund Region the best rep!
In my profession, I have also guided many “technical visits”, everything from Irish dairy farmers to rolling grass farmers from all over the world.
During some fantastic years, I was teaching tourism and knowledge about the world around us from a touristic point of view. This was a high school college education for adults, and one part of it was to conduct a 12 day long trip in beautiful Sweden. From south to north. I did it four times and in other words -know my country.
I have also been involved in other tourism educations, some as project manager and others as lecturer.
My assignments as a tour guide have been very varied: by foot, in bus, on bike, in boat and even canoe! Alone or in interaction with gardeners or actors as historical characters. And always in interaction with my guests.
Even if Skåne and Copenhagen is my primary working field, I also conduct guidings in all of Sweden. I have even made one-day-trips to Berlin…
